A tragic friendship born from an irreversible error:   “I am the one who killed your mother.”

Yume is a woman who has struggled with making frequent mistakes throughout her life. She finally commits an irreversible error: while attempting to prevent a suicide, she accidentally causes the woman’s death.

Tormented by guilt, she later encounters the woman’s daughter, Mio. Because the mother’s fall seriously injured an innocent passerby, Mio has been branded as a “perpetrator’s daughter” and is being unfairly ostracized by society. The two women first meet when Yume is sent as a mover to help Mio, who is being evicted from her home due to the public backlash.

Unaware of the tragic truth, the two form an unexpected and deep friendship. As Mio finds the strength to look forward again through Yume’s support, Yume is tormented by a cruel conflict: she must live caught between her growing bond—built upon a foundation of lies—and the haunting guilt of her secret crime.
